Winter Highlights!

It's been a great winter for skating and skiing.

One of the highlights during March break was participating in the Adrenaline Diva's Snowboarding class and competition.  The classes really helped me tweak my snowboarding.

I wound up winning the competition in the beginners level!  I was so surprised when they called out my number and name!  Won some beautiful prizes from the Sponsors.  Go Billabong!

The Course

Ski season is almost over, going to miss it, but gymnastics competitions and preparing for them keep me pretty busy, April will be a full month for sure!

Cat Spruce Christmas!

We had a great Christmas!  Lots of fun presents in fact I got almost everything on my list, it was a shorter list, but a good one!

Got to tell you about our Christmas tree.  For the second Christmas we decided to go out in the woods and just find a regular tree to use.  This is of all things a Cat Spruce tree!  And there's a good reason they call it 'Cat' spruce, it smells like cat pee at first!  But we had fun just the same and loaded it with all the home made decorations we've made as kids.  If you want to see a video of this little adventure you can find it on facebook here.

There has been lots of family fun gathers on both sides of the family, Thebeau/Graham and Clarks.

To top it all off, we've been doing some skiing and snowboarding at Crabbe Mt.! 

Art Fair

Well my toe has healed up nicely and is now growing a new toenail!  You can hardly tell with my pink nail polish on it :-)

Been a busy summer.  Taking in gymnastic camp, working on tumbling four afternoons a week plus Sundays usually.  Developing new skills and improving on the old.

Doing something new this Saturday.  My Grand-mother, Brenda and Aunt Kellie (my Nanny's sister) are going to have a booth in the Dooryard Art Fair on Saturday, Aug 11th.  Gramps suggested Lyvia and I put a few pieces of our art in the fair too, so we are! I have four that I've done and Lyvia and I also did up bookmarks, made from paintings Nanny did on watercolour paper and we cut glue and decorate. They are really pretty and different.

It's was hard finding time to come to Nanny's studio and work with her on some small canvases and bookmarks, but we got it done.  Nanny's helped put the finishing touches to our pieces so I'm pretty pleased with how they are turning out.

The first piece (at the top of this post) is made using insulation foam, kind of looks like ocean coral to me and the second is made using Gorilla Glue and crackle.    Sure hope to see some of you there!

Gimpy toe

This past Thursday was a complete flop. I was supposed to be working on level three skills at gymnastics, but unfortunately I was moving the table vault (a table vault is a piece of equipment we use) and then it ran over my toe. It is three hundred pounds of metal and steel! Now I have a black and blue toe that has cuts and ripped up skin! yuck! I have to soak it now once a day and sometimes elevate it when its really paining (which by the way is pretty much all the time!) Tylenol and Advil and I have become very close friends lol! My mother now calls me  gimpy toe.

I feel super bad for people who are suffering from non-stop pain! Trust me folks, I feel it to! Nanny Wick has been taking good care of my toe, she  prepared a pan of warm water with epson salts in it twice! What would i do without you Nanny!?  So tomorrow when I am at my gymnastics banquet, I will have a gross looking toe! Wish me luck!

weekend workout ideas!

If you are at home on the weekend with nothing to do well try the 2012 workout !

here are the ideas that i came up with for you to try!

1:10 sit ups.

2:10 push ups.

3:try to touch your toes and hold it for a minimum of 30 seconds.

4:do jumping jacks for 1 minute.

5:jog on the spot for one minute.

after this workout you should be pretty tired.try to do this workout once weekly and you'll have big muscles in no time!!!!!!! :* :-)

Welcome 2012!

I can't believe it's a new year and that I've not posted anything new in quite awhile!  I guess with school, gymnastics and other interests it's hard to find the time to add to my blog.

We had a great Christmas, got lots of fun gifts, but my favourite was getting my own cell phone.  I love it!  They had hidden it away until everything else was opened and then I heard this ringing sound :-)  Pictured here is my sister Lyvia who got what she has wanted for a long time, an 'ipod Touch.'  It was a great surprise and a wonderful Christmas.

Then, the biggest surprise of all, was going to Disney in Florida for New Years!  Thanks to my Mom's family we were able to join them including my Grampy Clark.  So much to do and see and enjoy.  It was great and pretty special being there with most of my Mom's family.  My Dad took video of all the fun rides so I don't have pictures to share of those.

Anyway, hope you had a great holiday, I know I did!

Art Contest Winner!

I was very surprised and pleased to find out I had won the Art Poster contest for the S.C.E.S  Remembrance Day!  There were a lot of great posters, it was fun to see what I could think of to draw.  Guess they liked what I came up with :-)

Mrs. Green Goes Nuts @ Safety Day

A few weeks ago my teacher Mrs. Green and our class went on a field trip to Safety Days at the Florenceville Civic Centre.  She ended up getting herself into some trouble at the fire safety station...

She had to put on a complete fire suit.  It was big and bulky with lots of different gear and attachments.  She looked like a goof ball!  She said the mask smelt really bad and that the air tank weighted like a 100 pounds!  They didn't make her move because she was wearing such a ginormous suit!. ha ha lol!

Hiking & Fossil Hunting

The fun continues as I had a couple of great day trips this week!

On Monday my Gramps and Aunt Olivia and I went hiking at Fundy National Park!  We had a blast even when it poured rain at one point!

I only have a few pictures of this because my aunt used her SLR camera for most of the photo taking while Gramps and I used the video camera and underwater camera.

Wish I could share some of the video footage with you but can't unless I go through You Tube.

Maybe I'll post some of the pictures later when my aunt gets them loaded onto the computer.

I stayed the night at Gramps and Nanny's then my younger sister Lyvia joined us on Tuesday morning and the three of us set out on our second fossil hunting adventure.

It took a little effort to find a good place but we found some great fossils and had a lot of fun.

We were going to go camping this weekend all the family including my Grandparents and aunt Olivia but hurricane Irene's coming for a visit and no one wanted to be in a tent for that!  

Summer Fun Continues

Went to the fair a few Saturdays ago, stayed most the day and into the evening to watch the fireworks.  It was a lot of fun, but it sure was a hot day!  The rides were excellent, got to go on a lot of them several times.  Lots more pictures on my Facebook page of the fair and fireworks.

Spending lots of time at my Aunt and Uncles pool, they're the best for letting us enjoy their pool!


Went on a back to school shopping trip last Saturday, we now have everything we need!

Coming up, going hiking at Fundy National Park with my Gramps and Aunt Olivia.  It's a 7K hike with some great swimming holes along the way, should be fun!   Then it's fossil hunting day with Gramps and my sister Lyvia.  We always go swimming at Grand Lake afterwards and of course eat out somewhere.

This week it's Gymnastics camp and I'm working hard :-)

Weekend At Nanny & Gramps

Well it was a fun weekend with my Grandparents.  Did a lot of fun art stuff and I got to make a lot of movies using ibooth and the video camera, plus just goofing around on the computer.  We also rented three movies over the weekend.

These are some photo's that Nanny took of Lyvia and I making some beaded gifts for our parents and creating special boxes for the fun stuff we collect.  We will use them to keep our fossils in that we collect once we go again with our Gramps in August. Mum and Dad are back home from their trip and I'll have to post about what they brought Lyvia and I later.

It's going to be a fun week.  It's family vacation time and we have tickets to go to Old Home Week and take in all the rides for two different days! Plus we will go to Jelly Stone Park, camping and water-slides, hayrides and lots of fun stuff.  What a great week it's going to be, but I'll post more about that come the end of the week.

ouch!

I am having a terrible week this week!
First on Sunday someone flipped me off of a hammock  and I cut my knee.
On Monday I stepped on a bee and it  stung me!
On Tuesday I stubbed my toe!
on Wednesday  I hurt my toe!
On Thursday I hit my finger on a metal bar!
Owch!

Western Valley Regional Games!

My sister, Lyvia and I and a whole lot of others participated in the Western Valley Regional Games on Thursday and Friday.  It took place in Nackawic and went all day Thursday with a camp out and then continued Friday morning.  Not sure how many kids and teens were involved but Gramps figured there were around 200 people at the waterfront where the games and camping took place.  They came from all around, Plaster Rock, Hartland, Woodstock and of course around the Nackawic area too.

I've never really played soccer before but I gave it my best, as you can see the competition was fierce and a lot bigger than me!  It was a great day though, sunny and hot.

At the end of the day, I decided to bunk out at my Gramps and Nanny's house and let Lyvia and her friends have the tent.  It was  a good deal for me, we rented a couple of movies, ate lots of fun foods and I slept like a rock on a comfy bed.  Had bacon and hash browns for breakfast then headed back to the waterfront to do Track & Field.

Taking a Break!

Movie Time, NOT!

Hung out with my Gramps and Nanny's yesterday and decided to make a little movie as the character, Kung Foo Granny.  It's just fun to make stuff up as you go along and play different, funny people. I was going to share it with you on my blog but Google Blogger has stopped allowing you to upload new videos.  Bummer!  Even thought my other videos still work on my blog, there will be no new videos unless I post them to You Tube.  So I guess I'll have to share this one on my facebook page instead.

Lyvia, Gramps and I also started planning our day trip of fossil hunting, swimming and supper someplace fun.  This summer is going to be fun.  I have Gymnastics Camp coming up, it's hard work but fun!  I improve a lot and learn some new things when I go to these camps so that's exciting.

Summer Fun

With summer under way now, there are some fun things I'm looking forward to doing.  Like camping with my family and gymnastics camp.  Swimming, sleepovers, the fair and going fossil collecting with Gramps!

Gramps, (my Dad's father) took Lyvia and I fossiling a couple of summers ago and we have wanted to go again ever since.  We made a day of it. After collecting some great fossils, we had a picnic lunch and later we went swimming to cool off, it was about the hottest day of that summer!

Then Gramps took us out for supper at McDonalds, we stayed a long time enjoying the air conditioning and the funhouse!  We were exhausted and so was Gramps but what a great time.

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today, june.24th.2011 was the last day of school!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was hard to leave my teacher even though i'll see her again next year!

My teacher for grade 5 is Mrs.Green! 

My best friend Destiny.A is the person i'll miss the most though!We are like sisters! 

We even are the same in a couple ways

1: We both like to swim!

2:We both like dogs.

3:We both like having friends over to our houses!

Today I went to the  movie theaters and watched Judy moody and the not bummer summer!

It was a really good movie!
