Art Contest Winner!

I was very surprised and pleased to find out I had won the Art Poster contest for the S.C.E.S  Remembrance Day!  There were a lot of great posters, it was fun to see what I could think of to draw.  Guess they liked what I came up with :-)

Mrs. Green Goes Nuts @ Safety Day

A few weeks ago my teacher Mrs. Green and our class went on a field trip to Safety Days at the Florenceville Civic Centre.  She ended up getting herself into some trouble at the fire safety station...

She had to put on a complete fire suit.  It was big and bulky with lots of different gear and attachments.  She looked like a goof ball!  She said the mask smelt really bad and that the air tank weighted like a 100 pounds!  They didn't make her move because she was wearing such a ginormous suit!. ha ha lol!

Hiking & Fossil Hunting

The fun continues as I had a couple of great day trips this week!

On Monday my Gramps and Aunt Olivia and I went hiking at Fundy National Park!  We had a blast even when it poured rain at one point!

I only have a few pictures of this because my aunt used her SLR camera for most of the photo taking while Gramps and I used the video camera and underwater camera.

Wish I could share some of the video footage with you but can't unless I go through You Tube.

Maybe I'll post some of the pictures later when my aunt gets them loaded onto the computer.

I stayed the night at Gramps and Nanny's then my younger sister Lyvia joined us on Tuesday morning and the three of us set out on our second fossil hunting adventure.

It took a little effort to find a good place but we found some great fossils and had a lot of fun.

It was freezing but we just couldn't pass up the swimming and photo shoots with the underwater camera.

The water was a strange orange brown as you will see in the underwater photos of Lyvia and I.

We were going to go camping this weekend all the family including my Grandparents and aunt Olivia but hurricane Irene's coming for a visit and no one wanted to be in a tent for that!  

Summer Fun Continues

Went to the fair a few Saturdays ago, stayed most the day and into the evening to watch the fireworks.  It was a lot of fun, but it sure was a hot day!  The rides were excellent, got to go on a lot of them several times.  Lots more pictures on my Facebook page of the fair and fireworks.

Spending lots of time at my Aunt and Uncles pool, they're the best for letting us enjoy their pool!


Went on a back to school shopping trip last Saturday, we now have everything we need!

Coming up, going hiking at Fundy National Park with my Gramps and Aunt Olivia.  It's a 7K hike with some great swimming holes along the way, should be fun!   Then it's fossil hunting day with Gramps and my sister Lyvia.  We always go swimming at Grand Lake afterwards and of course eat out somewhere.

This week it's Gymnastics camp and I'm working hard :-)

Weekend At Nanny & Gramps

Well it was a fun weekend with my Grandparents.  Did a lot of fun art stuff and I got to make a lot of movies using ibooth and the video camera, plus just goofing around on the computer.  We also rented three movies over the weekend.

These are some photo's that Nanny took of Lyvia and I making some beaded gifts for our parents and creating special boxes for the fun stuff we collect.  We will use them to keep our fossils in that we collect once we go again with our Gramps in August. Mum and Dad are back home from their trip and I'll have to post about what they brought Lyvia and I later.

It's going to be a fun week.  It's family vacation time and we have tickets to go to Old Home Week and take in all the rides for two different days! Plus we will go to Jelly Stone Park, camping and water-slides, hayrides and lots of fun stuff.  What a great week it's going to be, but I'll post more about that come the end of the week.

ouch!

I am having a terrible week this week!
First on Sunday someone flipped me off of a hammock  and I cut my knee.
On Monday I stepped on a bee and it  stung me!
On Tuesday I stubbed my toe!
on Wednesday  I hurt my toe!
On Thursday I hit my finger on a metal bar!
Owch!

Western Valley Regional Games!

My sister, Lyvia and I and a whole lot of others participated in the Western Valley Regional Games on Thursday and Friday.  It took place in Nackawic and went all day Thursday with a camp out and then continued Friday morning.  Not sure how many kids and teens were involved but Gramps figured there were around 200 people at the waterfront where the games and camping took place.  They came from all around, Plaster Rock, Hartland, Woodstock and of course around the Nackawic area too.

I've never really played soccer before but I gave it my best, as you can see the competition was fierce and a lot bigger than me!  It was a great day though, sunny and hot.

At the end of the day, I decided to bunk out at my Gramps and Nanny's house and let Lyvia and her friends have the tent.  It was  a good deal for me, we rented a couple of movies, ate lots of fun foods and I slept like a rock on a comfy bed.  Had bacon and hash browns for breakfast then headed back to the waterfront to do Track & Field.

Movie Time, NOT!

Hung out with my Gramps and Nanny's yesterday and decided to make a little movie as the character, Kung Foo Granny.  It's just fun to make stuff up as you go along and play different, funny people. I was going to share it with you on my blog but Google Blogger has stopped allowing you to upload new videos.  Bummer!  Even thought my other videos still work on my blog, there will be no new videos unless I post them to You Tube.  So I guess I'll have to share this one on my facebook page instead.

Lyvia, Gramps and I also started planning our day trip of fossil hunting, swimming and supper someplace fun.  This summer is going to be fun.  I have Gymnastics Camp coming up, it's hard work but fun!  I improve a lot and learn some new things when I go to these camps so that's exciting.

Summer Fun

With summer under way now, there are some fun things I'm looking forward to doing.  Like camping with my family and gymnastics camp.  Swimming, sleepovers, the fair and going fossil collecting with Gramps!

Gramps, (my Dad's father) took Lyvia and I fossiling a couple of summers ago and we have wanted to go again ever since.  We made a day of it. After collecting some great fossils, we had a picnic lunch and later we went swimming to cool off, it was about the hottest day of that summer!

Then Gramps took us out for supper at McDonalds, we stayed a long time enjoying the air conditioning and the funhouse!  We were exhausted and so was Gramps but what a great time.

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today, june.24th.2011 was the last day of school!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was hard to leave my teacher even though i'll see her again next year!

My teacher for grade 5 is Mrs.Green! 

My best friend Destiny.A is the person i'll miss the most though!We are like sisters! 

We even are the same in a couple ways

1: We both like to swim!

2:We both like dogs.

3:We both like having friends over to our houses!

Today I went to the  movie theaters and watched Judy moody and the not bummer summer!

It was a really good movie!

Every Day Abstract

It's been awhile since I've posted, sorry about that, it's been a busy few weeks.  We have been training hard for our year end gymnastic show and just for fun, Rock & Roll Cup competition last weekend so I've not had much time for anything else!

We had a great time and our club won the Rock & Roll Cup, yea team!  I won some metals and even my little sister, Lyvia won a gold for her floor routine.  Once it was all over, we had a sleep over, the whole team and boy was it fun!  Thanks Jayne we appreciate all you do for us!

What I really wanted to share with you is something I wrote for my Grandmother, Brenda, but I call her Nanny.  She was pleased when I gave it to her and she got all teary eyed, nice to know that something I wrote can make people feel special :-)

Talent that God has chosen for me.  I appreciate it!

Hi!  My name is Grace Thebeau and there is a beautiful talent that runs in my dads side of the family.  Guess who the talent has spread onto now?  Meeeeeeee!  I bet your dying to know what that talent is and I’m sorry for not telling you earlier!  My dads side of the family has the talent of doing Beautiful abstract art!  So far I’ve painted 2 abstract pictures!

Nanny Wick has painted hundreds of paintings and sold them.  She sold one of them to help me and my family raise enough money for me to go to the New Brunswick Gymnastics Competition this year.

In my family there has always been and always will be every day abstract!

Waiting Before Judges to Begin Beam Routine

I enjoy a number of different sports, but gymnastics is the one I give my all to.  For the first time, I was invited to compete at the Atlantic Gymnastic Competition 2011 for Team NB!  It was nerve wracking!

My Dad and I are into archery using Traditional bows.  We have targets in our own backyard that we practice on as well as the cool set up the Archery Club hosts.  Very fun!

My younger sister Lyvia sometimes joins us at the club too.

This past winter, we skied as a family, along with my Gramps, Jean and my Aunt Olivia.  It was so much fun and my first year for snowboarding.  We are all looking forward to next ski season!

Along with all the sports stuff, I also love being creative and especially when I get to work on some cool abstracts with my Grandmother, Brenda who I call Nanny.
